Purity of Power

 Purity of power

Most of what we see as power is the ego talking. It is important to your spiritual growth not to give in to this. How often do you find someone basically good in moral nature, caring and full of compassion, come into a position of power and then have a complete change in nature. This is seen in all walks of life , especially in politics.  I am sure you have heard the saying “absolute power corrupts absolutely. “  

We all have this option within us, to use the power you possess with good or bad intent. One has to work at staying pure of intent and living with integrity.  Consider how the use of your power would affect those around you. Each word spoken to another or about another carries this intent. Vigilance is paramount.

SPIRITUAL DIRECTION

Live this purity. Allow yourself to be this purity. Before the words leave your mouth they are formed as thoughts.  Be pure of intent here. Exercise purity over your power here. This week be extra vigilant. Watch your thoughts. Become aware of the words that you use, before you use them.  Even the words you use to yourself need to be clear and pure. 

The words you use while you drive, although aimed at other driver’s only poisons your space. Do not allow these negative thoughts to become words. Stop them at thought.  You will find that as you watch how you use your power the calm impacts on you the most. Peace starts with you, with your thoughts.

Trust in the purity within your heart. We all start off thus. Clarity will be your companion and peace will come to you through your control over your power.
